Set Your Display Preferences

Set your theme, language and default views to match how you work.

Personalize your workspace to match how you work: theme, language, default views, playback behavior and which metadata you see. These start from the defaults your admin sets in Workspace Settings, but you can override any of them here for your own account.

Accessing your settings

  1. Click your Settings icon.

  2. Go to the My Display Preferences tab.

Interface language

Choose the language of your user interface. This changes the UI text only, not metadata or content language.

Theme: light or dark

Switch between Light Mode, Dark Mode, or match your operating system's preference.

  • Light Mode: best for bright settings and daylight use.

  • Dark Mode: reduces eye strain in low-light environments.

Changes apply instantly and carry over across sessions.

Default views

Personalize how content displays by default, across the event view, the search view and individual media results:

  • Default display in the event view for Moments and Media files: sets whether Moments and Media files inside an event open in Grid (a visual-first layout, ideal for scanning thumbnails quickly) or Row (a text-dense layout, ideal for scanning metadata alongside media).

  • Default display in the search view for Moments and Media files: sets the same Grid or Row choice, but for the results when you run a search. This is independent from the event view setting above, so you can, for example, keep Grid for browsing events and switch to Row for scanning search results in detail.

  • Default media type display in the search view: choose whether search results show Media files (full source files, like a complete episode or program) or Moments (short, time-coded segments within a file, such as a detected highlight or custom sequence) by default.

  • Default panel when opening a media result: choose which panel opens first when you open a media file or moment from your search results: Discovery Agent, Media Info, Moments, Speech, People, Labels or Search in media. For example, here's what it looks like when Discovery Agent is set as the default:

Video playback and preview

Control how content opens and plays:

  • Auto play video on media page: starts playing automatically as soon as you open a media file's full page.

  • Skip media preview: when you click a media file, go straight to its media page instead of seeing a preview first.

  • Auto play video on media preview: starts playing automatically when a preview opens. Has no effect if Skip media preview is on, since previews won't show.

Metadata display (List view only)

Choose which metadata fields appear in List view, so you see what matters most at a glance. This doesn't apply to Grid view, which always shows thumbnails only. For example, verify rights, filter by project, or prioritize clips by content type, without digging through every field.

Restoring default settings

Click Restore workspace settings at the bottom of the Display Preferences panel to reset everything back to default.
