Roles and permissions
Each user is assigned a role that defines what they can see and do:
ADMIN:
the only role that sees all media by default, and the only one that can create users, organizations and programs. Other roles only see media in events shared with an organization they belong to.
DOCUMENTALISTS:
Chief Documentalist: creates and edits events, and imports media. Can edit and delete events created by others in their organization. Has access to the thesaurus.
Documentalist: views events and media shared with their organization. Has access to the moments and thesaurus.
Archivist: describes and enriches the archive without modifying the media itself. Creates, edits and deletes labels, persons, transcripts, thesaurus entries and moments. Can view Incoming Media, Collections and the Thesaurus, and builds and downloads projects. Can't upload, edit, delete, move or copy media, can't download individual media or export a project, and has no access to the Events dashboard, or Analytics.
CONTRIBUTORS
Chief Contributor: creates events and imports media for their organization. Can edit and delete events created by others in their organization.
Local Contributor: adds and edits media. No access to AI indexing.
Read Only Contributor: views media and collections shared with their organization, builds projects, and downloads directly. A restricted Read Only Contributor can only see shared media that's been approved.
GUEST
Guest: reads media and creates orders for an admin to approve.
Restricted Guest: can only see shared media that's been approved
