Text, image and video overlays let you layer extra elements onto your composition, positioned and timed independently from your subtitles. Each overlay type, text, logos, images, video and audio, sits on its own track in the timeline.
Text overlays
Text overlays are manually written text elements you place at a specific point on the timeline: titles, episode names, calls to action, or any on-screen text that isn't generated from speech.
Adding text overlays: click the T button in the timeline toolbar. The Text overlays panel opens on the right.
Writing your text: type in the Lines fields. Each line can have Inverted colors applied independently. Click + Add line for additional lines.
Position: anchor your caption to the top, center, or bottom of the frame using the position buttons.
Typography: set font, text color, size, weight, alignment, letter spacing, line height, and capitalization.
Text background and shadow: background color, opacity, corner radius, padding and shadow offset. Same controls as subtitles.
Timing: drag the edges of the caption block on the timeline to control how long it stays on screen. Drag the block itself to reposition it in time.
Image, logo and video inserts
Image, logo and video inserts let you place visual assets at any point in your composition. Use them for show logos, branded frames, motion graphics or any supplementary footage you want to layer on top of your clips.
Click the Image or Camera icon in the timeline toolbar, or click the Logo track in the timeline.
In the Logo panel, click Upload from computer under Logo 1.
Select your file (PNG or JPEG, max 10 MB).
Positioning: use the X, Y and Scale fields to place your logo precisely on the 1080×1920 canvas. You can also drag the logo directly on the preview.
Second logo: scroll down to Logo 2 and click Add logo to upload a second image. Useful for a show logo and a channel watermark together.
Logo track: the logo appears as a continuous track spanning your full composition. Trim it if you only want the logo visible during part of your video.
Save your look as a Brand Style
Once your logo placement and subtitle styling are set up the way you want, save them as a named preset. Apply that Brand Style to any future composition in one click, with no rebuilding from scratch each time.
