A hook is a strong opening moment, a catchphrase, a reaction or a compelling line, that plays before your main content to grab attention right away. Mark it once, and Studio automatically duplicates it to the front of your composition.
What a hook does
Instead of finding a strong clip, duplicating it and moving it to the front of your timeline by hand, Studio does it in one step.
Setting a hook
Move the playhead to the moment where you want your hook to start.
Click the Hook icon in the timeline toolbar to open the Hook panel.
Adjust the time range to fine-tune exactly which portion of the clip becomes the hook.
Click Save.
Studio duplicates that portion of the clip and places it automatically at the very beginning of your composition, right before your main content.
Editing or removing a hook
Click the pencil icon next to your hook to edit it at any time. To remove it, click the trash icon next to your hook.
