Hello and welcome to this tutorial dedicated to uploading to Dailymotion via your Newsbridge platform. We will see which fields need to be filled in at the event level as well as the destinations dedicated to uploading to Dailymotion. Are you ready? Let's get started!
The data associated with your media must be filled in when creating the event in the "Dailymotion" drop-down menu.
The fields to be filled in the event panel are:
Title
Description
Publication date: date when the video becomes public on Dailymotion. If the publication date is not filled in or is earlier than the current date/time, then the publication date will be the current date and the media will be published directly.
Thumbnail: corresponds to the thumbnail that appears in Dailymotion for the post in question
UUID: information returned by Dailymotion once the media has been posted on Dailymotion. Once this information is present in a post, if you send a media to Dailymotion again, its information will overwrite the information already present in Dailymotion (valid for the video as well as for the metadata)
Public URL: information returned by Dailymotion once the media has been posted on Dailymotion. This URL allows you to go to the post in Dailymotion.
Private URL: information returned by Dailymotion once the media has been posted on Dailymotion
Tags: tag your media using labels ("#label"). Tags have a maximum of 150 characters.
2. To send a media on Dailymotion, you will have to use the cart.
a) Select the media you want to upload via the "add to cart" button
b) Open your cart via the cart icon on the right side of your page in event view.
c) A window will open allowing you to preview the contents of your cart. Click on "export".
d) A window will open asking you to name your cart. Once you have named your basket, click on "next".
e) Choose one of the three Dailymotion destinations that are proposed to you:
- Dailymotion: mp4 8 mbps
- Dailymotion vertical: mp4 8 mpbs in Iphone format
- Dailymotion 4K: mp4 20 mbps
f) A window will open redirecting you to the shopping cart page, allowing you to see the status of your export.
g) Once your export is done, the Public URL, the Private URL and the UUID will be filled in automatically using the information sent by Dailymotion.
