With this integration, you can easily find and clip the most compelling moments identified by AI—whether from recent footage or archived material—all without switching screens or handling multiple downloads and uploads.

The plugin brings you the power of our advanced multimodal AI for video search. providing AI-generated insights like summaries, key sequence breakdowns, and standout quotes, so you can quickly understand your video content without needing to watch every second.

Introduction

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to integrate and use your Moments Lab Media Hub with Adobe Premiere Pro. This integration enables you to search and import content directly from your Moments Lab hosted media library without leaving the Adobe Premiere Pro interface.

Installing the plug-in

  1. Download the Plugin: Visit Adobe Exchange and search for "Moments Lab". Click the download button to download the plugin.

  2. Install the Plugin: Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the plugin.

  3. Activate the Plugin: Open Adobe Premiere Pro, go to the Extensions menu, and select the Moments Lab plugin. The panel will open, and you can position it as you prefer.

Getting started

  1. Login: Enter your usual Moments Lab login credentials.

  2. Choose Geographical Region. This is the region where your Moments Lab workspace is deployed. If you are unaware of your region, you can contact our support team to help you find out.

Configuring access to your media

Choosing a Project Path

When you open the plugin, you will be prompted to select a project path. For "Bring Your Own Storage" customers with a direct connection to on-premise storage, this allows you to access your media directly, eliminating the need to wait for high-resolution files to download. If you are accessing content stored in the cloud, you still need to choose a project path, which should be set to your local library. You can always change your project path later in the plugin settings.

Enabling proxy workflows
If you're working with high-res assets stored in the cloud via Moments Lab, you can enable the proxy workflows. Proxies are lower-resolution copies of your footage, making them much easier to work with, resulting in smoother editing and faster response times.

Navigating the Moments Lab Panel

We've tried to align the experience you receive on the plug-in as best as we can to the browser based version of your Moments Lab workspace.

Accessing your library

Access your entire Moments Lab library, including:

  • Events (including your scheduled live streams)

  • Collections

  • Carts

Searching for content

Easily discover, clip, and add assets directly to your bin. The plug in currently only supports free text search from the global search bar. To search using labels you will need to perform a search and then narrow down your search using the filters menu located on the right of your search results.

Moment based search

We offer two search options: Media-based for finding entire media files using metadata at the media level and Moment-based ideal for locating specific moments with time-stamped metadata. You can toggle between the two options by selecting the Moments or Media when in your search results.

You can refine your search by using the Moment Type filter to return Sequences, Soundbites, Transcript segments, or Annotations. For Media files, filter by Videos, Images, Audio, or Documents.

Clipping tools

You can use our built-in clipping tool in order to cut the clips you want down to the precise frame needed for your rough cut.

Adding clips to your Adobe Bin

Select the moment you want to use and add it to your bin using the + Add to Bin button. You can track the progress of your download with the media queue, which can be accessed in the top right of the panel.

Importing assets into Moments Lab from your Adobe Bin

Export finished projects back to MomentsLab for accessibility from anywhere. You can also drag and drop local files from your Adobe project bin (such as unlogged rushes) directly into your Moments Lab Media Hub for processing and AI indexation.
