The Moments Lab panel connects your Moments Lab library directly to Avid Media Composer, so you can access it without leaving the Avid interface. This article walks you through downloading, installing and setting up the panel.
Install the plug-in
Visit the Moments Lab Avid panel download page and click the link for your operating system — macOS or Windows.
Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install it.
Activate the plugin: open Avid and select Moments Lab — from the Extensions menu on macOS, or from Tools on Windows. The panel opens and you can position it wherever you like.
Set up the panel
Log in with your usual Moments Lab credentials. If you don't have an account, ask your workspace administrator to create one for you.
Choose your geographical region — US for United States, or EMEA for Europe and Asia. This should match the region where your Moments Lab workspace is deployed.
Select your workspace. If you have access to several workspaces, they'll all be listed here — choose the one you want to connect to. You can switch workspaces anytime from the panel settings.
The first time you open the panel, you'll be asked to set your source media path — the local folder where downloaded moments will be saved. You can change this anytime in settings.
Good to know
If you don't know your workspace's geographic region, start with the region closest to your organization's headquarters. If your workspace doesn't appear, try the other region, or contact our Support team.
You need a Moments Lab account to use the panel. If you don't have one, contact your workspace administrator.
