Once your 9:16 composition is ready, preview how it will look on each platform, then publish it live or schedule it for later — no exporting, re-uploading or switching tools.
Before you start
Publishing requires social accounts connected to a social profile. If you haven't set this up yet, see Set up social profiles and connect social accounts.
Preview with social layers
Social layers show how your video will look on a specific platform, including its safe zones and interface overlays, so you can catch any issues before publishing.
Look for the Social layers dropdown at the bottom of the preview panel. It's set to None by default.
Select a platform: Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube. (Facebook doesn't have a social layer preview.)
The preview updates to simulate how your video will appear on that platform, including the UI elements that overlay your content.
What to check:
Is your logo sitting within the safe zone, or hidden behind a platform button?
Are your captions visible and readable within the platform frame?
Does your text overlay appear in the right position relative to the platform UI?
Making adjustments: if something is clipped or hidden, go back to the relevant panel (Logo, Text overlay, or Captions) and reposition the element before rendering.
Returning to normal view: select None from the Social layers dropdown to go back to the standard preview.
Export and download your video
If you'd rather not publish directly, you can render your composition and download the file instead.
Click the Export button in the top right of the editor.
Studio processes your composition. Rendering time depends on the length of your composition and the number of elements in your timeline.
Once rendering is complete, choose how to get your file:
Download: save the video directly to your device.
Copy link: generate a shareable link to the rendered file so a colleague can review it without downloading.
Start a publish
Click the Publish button, next to Export.
Studio starts rendering your final video in the background while you complete the publish steps.
Social Profile: pick the social profile that owns the social accounts you want to publish to. Selecting a social profile moves you forward automatically.
Add general content
Enter a title for your post. This becomes the default title on every platform you publish to — you can still override it in each platform's own settings.
Click Next to continue to the Platforms step.
Add platform details
The Platforms step lists whichever platforms are connected to your social profile. Toggle on each platform you want to publish to, then fill in its settings below — requirements vary by platform, and you can publish to several at once.
YouTube
Title: defaults to the title you entered in Add general content. Edit it here to use a different title for YouTube specifically.
Description: a description for the video. Studio requires this field for YouTube — you can't continue without filling it in.

Kid Friendly: declares the video as made for kids. Turning this on limits some features on YouTube's side, such as comments and personalized ads, in line with YouTube's own children's content rules.
AI Generated: discloses that the video contains AI-generated or synthetically altered content, as YouTube requires for this kind of content.
Visibility: sets who can see the video once it's published.
Embeddable: allows the video to be played outside YouTube, for example when embedded on a website or shared in a Slack message.
Notify: notifies your channel's subscribers that a new video is live.
Stats Viewable: makes the video's extended statistics (beyond the view count, which is always public) publicly viewable — for example, so third-party analytics tools can read them.

Collaborators: invite other Instagram accounts to be listed as official collaborators on the post.

Disable Duet: prevents other TikTok users from creating a duet with this video.
Disable Stitch: prevents other TikTok users from stitching this video into their own.

Branded Content: discloses that the video is a paid partnership promoting another brand.
Hashtags: hashtags to include with the video.
Choose when to publish
Once the render finishes, you can:
Schedule for later: pick a date and time in the future, and Studio publishes automatically then.
Publish now: publishes as soon as you click Publish.
Studio then redirects you to the publication you just created, where you can see what was generated or scheduled. See Track publication to check its status and see everything you've published.
Good to know
Studio validates each platform's required fields before letting you continue. For example, YouTube requires a Description — if you leave it blank, Studio blocks you from moving forward until you add one.
What's next
Track your publications to check the status of everything you've published.
